UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

If anyone is interested in attending a Wilderness Survival Course by Papa-Bear Whitmore, please let us know. Papa-Bear will travel from Denver to teach the course during a weekend. At least twelve people are needed before we can reserve a time. We will likely schedule it for January 15th and 16th or February 26th and 27th. It will be a two-day course from 8:30am to 5:30pm during the weekend and cost $75.00 per person, due in advance. The course covers mountain survival topics, such as: building a shelter, what you should have in a survival kit, signaling techniques, and dealing with frostbite and hypothermia. Please call as soon as possible to sign up.

LAST MONTH'S ACTIVITIES

November was the first month we joined in on the fun at Petersen AFB for their Altitude Chamber Training Course. Those who went said it was "quite an experience" and they "can't wait to go again"! They learned invaluable information pertaining to aviation and encourage others to take this course to increase their aviation knowledge and experience.

NEWS

Because of recent regulations, Santa Claus was informed he needed to become a Private Pilot before setting off on his annual Christmas Eve excursion. On the day of his check ride, the FAA examiner calmly climbed into the sleigh, shotgun in hand.

"What is that for?" asked Santa.

"Well," replied the examiner, "you'll be losing an engine".
